Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) is an empirically-supported, 8-week course designed to cultivate the skill of self-compassion.  It is a powerful antidote to self-criticism and a source of resilience leading to greater wellbeing.

What is Self-Compassion?
The three key components of self-compassion are self-kindness, a sense of common humanity, and balanced, mindful awareness. Together they comprise a state of warm-hearted, connected presence. Self-compassion provides emotional strength and support, allowing us to admit our shortcomings, motivate ourselves with kindness, forgive ourselves when needed, relate wholeheartedly to others, and be more authentically ourselves.
What are the benefits?
Rapidly expanding research demonstrates that self-compassion is strongly associated with emotional wellbeing, less anxiety, depression and stress, maintenance of healthy habits such as diet and exercise, and satisfying personal relationships. And it’s easier than you think.
Programme activities include meditation, short talks, experiential exercises, group discussion, and home practices. The goal is for participants to directly experience self-compassion and learn practices that evoke self-compassion in daily life. You will need to commit to set time aside to practice Mindful Self-Compassion each week. Recordings of practices will be shared as well as other resources.
There will be a tea break and refreshments will be provided.

Cost:  Fees are on a sliding scale as follows: £290-£325-£360. Choose what you can afford.

Self-compassion can be learned by anyone.  Everyone is welcome, including people of all backgrounds and identities. No previous experience with mindfulness or meditation is required.
