About Me
Like everyone, I’ve had my share of challenges. The daily practice of meditation and mindfulness and regularly going on retreat, had such a significant impact on my life and well-being, that I completed the MBSR (Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction) and MSC (Mindful Self Compassion) courses. I went on to become a trained MiSP (Mindfulness in Schools Project) Teacher and I am now Trained to Teach the MSC course. I have undertaken specific training to teach MSC online. I also teach the MBSR (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction) 8-week course and continue to train with the Centre for Mindfulness Research and Practice (CMRP) at Bangor University. I am a Trauma Sensitive Practitioner, having completed training at Oxford University Mindfulness Center “Becoming Trauma-Sensitive: Making Mindfulness and Meditation Safe for Trauma Survivors ” with David Treleaven and I am trained in Mental Health First Aid and Mental Health Advocacy in the Workplace (Level 2).
I teach mindfulness and psychological education in community groups, workplaces, corporate sector, schools/colleges. I am able to bring my life experiences, qualifications, personal and professional development together in a way that gives me the privilege of using it to support others. I love this work and the people I work with. My own journey continues to take me to wonderful, painful, scary and joyous places and I’m so grateful that every day is a new opportunity to grow and be here
